Formal Marathi in interviews uses the ergative for past achievements: मीने प्रोजेक्ट पूर्ण केले (I completed the project). The politeness ladder applies: तुम्ही (respectful) for interviewers, मी (I) for yourself.
Tip: Formal intro: नमस्कार, माझं नाव ... आहे, मी ... मध्ये काम करतो. Interviewers use तुम्ही; you use मी. Achievements use ergative: मीने प्रोजेक्ट पूर्ण केले.

Formal introduction
नमस्कार, माझं नाव ... आहे, मी ... मध्ये काम करतो (I work in ...). For senior roles: माझा अनुभव ... वर्षांचे आहे (My experience is ... years). The ergative मीने appears in achievement statements: मीने प्रोजेक्ट पूर्ण केले (I completed the project).
Q&A and strengths
तुम्ही कशामुळे इथे काम करायचा? (Why do you want to work here?) — answer: माझी ताकद ... आहे (My strength is ...), माझी कमजोरी ... आहे (My weakness is ...). The possessive agrees with the noun: ताकद (fem) → माझी, कमजोरी (fem) → माझी.
Common mistakes
✗ Using मी for achievements in formal context✓ मीने for past achievements: मीने प्रोजेक्ट पूर्ण केले
Ergative मीने marks the agent in past transitive sentences — formal standard.
✗ Using तू with interviewers✓ तुम्ही — always respectful with interviewers
तू with a stranger is rude. Interviewers use तुम्ही; you use मी for yourself.
